“Los Coloraos” Gorafe Desert
Circular 4×4 route through the Gorafe Desert passing through the “coloraos” with a duration between 4 and 4:30 hours, in the visual tour there are about 10 stops walking a little in some of them to visit chimneys, caves, minerals and approach to points of great panoramic visual interest from where we can take photography of great beauty. We recommend starting the route first thing in the morning.

Toril irrigation canal, petroglyphs and angular discordance of Gorafe
Gorafe 4×4 Rural Tourism
Route from the caves through the Gorafe valley visiting the discordance, a formation of great uniqueness and geological interest that consists of vertical folds of the terrain under horizontal strata. It is a formation of great geological interest within the Granada Geopark.
Next we will arrive at the Acequia del Toril, which will be visited on foot in a circular route of approximately 2 km, it originated millennia ago by the hand of man for irrigation and the calcium carbonate sediments deposited from the thermal water.
Once we have finished the irrigation ditch route, we will approach the base of the mine hill with the vehicle and then walk to the top and be able to see the petroglyphs engraved on 4,500-year-old sandstone rocks, representing male and female figures, the petroglyphs were used as a place to celebrate rituals. 5 meters from these there is a mine from which they extracted soul that was used as pigment.

Route through the Gorafe Desert visiting the coloraos three stops, later we will go to the area of the whites, Guadiana minor and Negratin reservoir, areas of photographic interest in which we will make different recommended stops.
